Imagine having to travel 100s if not 1000s of miles just to get medical consultation.

Well, this is the story of our founder Imed El Abed who had to travel from the South of Tunisia in a quest for medical consultation for his mother. 

It was at this time he noticed the huge problem of access to specialists consultation by millions of people in the continent starting with Tunisia and founded Tobba.tn along with his co-founder Fadoua Ben Rejeb. 

With people’s movement halted by Covid-19, we could provide access to medical consultation using an innovative digital solution that saves money and time for its users. 

In Tunisia alone, there are more than 18K doctors and aggregating this into a single platform will make access to patients easier and more efficient.

The challenge

Our main challenge is to familiarise the market with our solution and of course increase our user base which is a challenge we got to raise and brainstorm on with our peers during the Prise-Up boot camp.

Prise-up has been a rich learning journey, especially in the area of communicating our impact and how to better pitch and cater to the different audiences we tell our story to. 

Investment plans

An investment into the startup, will help us expand our doctor listings and provide more access to people across the African continent, starting with Tunisia, thereby saving millions in transportation costs for the patients and access to more patients and increase revenue for doctors listed. Our team is ready and motivated to create more and more impact across Tunisia and soon entire Africa.
